N405 – CRANE/LIFT SUPERVISOR

The NPORS N405 Crane/Lift Supervisor course is designed to prepare individuals to supervise lifting operations involving cranes and other lifting equipment. A Crane/Lift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that every lift is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the agreed lifting plan and current health and safety regulations.

N405 – CRANE/LIFT SUPERVISOR

The N405 Crane / Lift Supervisor course at Essex Construction Training Ltd is designed for individuals responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the safe execution of lifting operations on construction sites. This course meets CPCS and industry standards and is suitable for both novice and experienced candidates.

Course Options Available

Novice Course – 3 Days Training + Test
Ideal for candidates with little or no previous experience. This 3-day training course covers all essential knowledge required to safely supervise lifting operations, followed by the CPCS technical test. The course includes:
Roles and responsibilities of a Lift Supervisor
Lift planning and risk assessments
Crane types, lifting accessories, and load handling
Communication methods and signalling
Health & safety regulations and legislation

Experienced Worker Course – 1 Day Training + Test (Next Day)
Designed for experienced Lift Supervisors who already have on-site knowledge. This option includes 1 day of refresher training, followed by the CPCS test on the next day, ensuring candidates are fully prepared to meet assessment requirements.
Test Only Option – No Training
For highly experienced candidates who are confident in their knowledge and skills. This option allows you to book the CPCS N405 test only, with no training provided. Candidates must already meet CPCS experience requirements.
