CPCS A17E – Suspended Loads is an additional qualification for Telescopic Handler (Telehandler) operators. It is used when a telehandler lifts suspended loads using a hook, jib, chains, or slings instead of carrying loads on forks. This type of lifting requires extra skills because the load can swing, affecting the machine's stability and safety.
The five-day foundational CPCS A17E – SUSPENDED LOADS training course from Essex Construction Training (ECT) is intended to give novice and intermediate operators enough knowledge to perform the duties of SUSPENDED LOADS in a safe and competent manner, as well as to pass the CPCS A17E – SUSPENDED LOADS theory/practical assessments. For applicants who do not need hands-on training, we also provide a two-day course for experienced workers. We advise reading the activity instructions lower down this page if you are thinking about choosing this option.
